After the Crimea joined Russia it is necessary to consider a more comprehensive development of the Black Sea-Azov basin. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Itar-Tass by presidential aide Igor Levitin, who heads the working group on large infrastructure projects of the Economic Council.
Levitin noted that further development of port facilities in the Black Sea-Azov region needs a railway bypass of Krasnodar.
“Money for modernization has been already allocated – about 50 billion rubles”, – said the presidential aide.
The total funding for the project of construction of a new port on the Taman peninsula (Krasnodar region) exceeds 228 billion rubles, the construction of federal property is planned to be financed from the state budget.
