Santa Clause, Easter Bunnies, And Catastrophic Global Warming

I never deny climate change… the climate has been changing since the beginning of time.  I simply reject hysteria and theories that suggest catastrophic anthropogenic (man made) CO2 based climate change is occurring.

There’s a reason the left has changed vernacular… Global Warming is now Climate Change, and Sea Level Rise is now Storm Surge.  Scientists have not been able to demonstrate a correlation with their radical CO2 warming theories, so they now repackage their movement with even vaguer wording.

Furthermore, even in theory, if you assumed CO2 was the substantive driver of climate,  CO2 abatement schemes large enough to be effective would be unaffordable; and those schemes small enough to be affordable would be ineffective. For example:  To reduce the earth’s temperature one degree with CO2 abatement would require an investment equivalent to 130 years GDP of the entire planet, or more than $4,000,000,000,000,000 (4 quadrillion dollars).  It ain’t…

VIDEO Small Ball – Vulnerable Dems not buying into Obama’s SOTU agenda

Reclaim Our Republic

Some lawmakers express disappointment in president’s message
Jan 29, 2014

Good morning folks,

The Associated Press told us that the State of the Union would be “An opening salvo in the 2014 elections.” Reuters assured us that the President would “use the speech to offer an election-year agenda for Democrats.” Politico reported that it would be a, “plan to save the Senate’s tenuous Democratic majority“ “aimed to “provide fodder for Democrats along the campaign trail.”

So President Obama stepped to the plate, his team down a run. Clearly the lead up coverage showed that he and his team recognized something needed to be done to stop the freefall that both he (and more importantly, his teammates) have experienced in the polls. We had read about this moment for weeks now; about how the President would swing for the fences. Instead, the President seemed to keep taking pitches, looking for a…

The White House is trying to impose a Mideast peace deal. Here’s what you need to know.

Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

(Washington, D.C.) — A fascinating but dicey and possibly dangerous moment is rapidly approaching in the epicenter.

The Obama administration is about to tell the Israelis and Palestinians how to solve their problems. The White House is about to pressure both sides to agree “in principle” to an interim agreement, and then work on a final peace treaty. How the two sides will react is anyone’s bet. Could the dynamic actually lead to a peaceful resolution of an ancient conflict? Seems unlikely. Could it lead to a calm and quiet at least for a while? Sure, theoretically. But to be candid, it could also lead to political chaos, or even to renewed violence.

Let me explain as concisely as I can.

Within days, or at most a few weeks, Secretary of State John Kerry will present both sides with what he calls a “framework agreement.” Essentially, this is an American-crafted peace plan. Yes, it will be based on…

Working Age Americans are the Majority of People on Food Stamps for the First Time! US Congress to Cut Food Stamps by $9 Billion!

Socio-Economics History Blog

  • US Congress to cut food stamps by $9 billion!
Lawmakers in both chambers of US Congress have reportedly reached a deal to cut almost $9 billion from the food stamp program on which nearly 47 million Americans rely to afford food.

The cuts to the program, which will affect nearly a million households over the next decade, are part of multi-year farm bill which sets spending levels for federal agriculture and food policy.

The giant piece of legislation is expected to get a vote in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, after which it will be subject to a vote in the Senate.

The cuts are a compromise between nearly $40 billion in cuts to the program approved by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives and a $4 billion reduction approved by the Democratic-controlled Senate.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has already…

Roman Catholics parade a boneless skull in France

News that matters

Saint Ivo of Kermartin was canonized in June 1347 A.D. The Roman Catholic faithful parades his skull. The bones of the saint have gone missing.

Saint Ivo of Kermartin (17 October 1253 – 19 May 1303), also known Yvo or Ives, as Erwann (in Breton) and as Yves Hélory (also Helori or Heloury in French), was a parish priest among the poor of Louannec, the only one of his station to be canonized in the Middle Ages.

He is the patron of Brittany, lawyers, and abandoned children. His feast day is May 19. Poetically, he is referred to as “Advocate of the Poor.”

Ivo was canonized in June 1347 by Clement VI at the urging of Philip I, Duke of Burgundy.

Israeli Forces Abduct Nearly 2 Dozen Palestinians in Raids on Their Homes!

Socio-Economics History Blog

  • Sir Gerald Kaufmann (UK Jewish MP):
“My grandmother was ill in bed when the Nazis came to her home town. A German soldier shot her dead in her bed. “My grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian grandmothers in Gaza. ”

“The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploits the continuing guilt among gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians.”

  • He said the claim that many of the Palestinian victims were militants “was the reply of the Nazi” and added: “I suppose the Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw ghetto could have been dismissed as militants.”

‘Israel was born out of Jewish Terrorism! …. They are not simply war criminals. They are fools!’

  • “In 2001, Dr. Ariella Oppenheim, of Hebrew University, a biologist, published the first extensive study of DNA and the…
