Winter Park Bench

Fika After Fifty Digital Photography and Art

To me, empty park benches seem so lonely in some fundamental way I can’t explain; it just seems that the bench exists so that someone will sit on it, yet no one is there, other than a lone black crow. In this case, I do wish I’d come in closer on the bench itself, but I was trying to take this picture through the branches, which didn’t quite work out. I do like the colors that the evening takes on in the background, though; there are purples, mauves, greens and blues hiding in the trees and through the misty branches.

I wish to thank everyone for making 2013 a success and these stats possible. Without you, your visits and comments none of this would be possible. I am looking forward to all of you visiting again in 2014. Together we’ll spread the Gospel to even more countries.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 13,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
